{"id":509,"date":"2020-09-25T10:28:12","date_gmt":"2020-09-25T10:28:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.positiveedge.net\/resources\/?post_type=awsm_job_openings&#038;p=509"},"modified":"2020-11-11T12:25:35","modified_gmt":"2020-11-11T12:25:35","slug":"senior-software-engineer","status":"publish","type":"awsm_job_openings","link":"https:\/\/www.positiveedge.net\/resources\/jobs\/senior-software-engineer\/","title":{"rendered":"Senior Software Engineer \u2013 QA"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"font-size: 25px;\"><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>( 4 to 6 years of experience ) We are currently looking for passionate software professionals with a distinguished academic record to<br \/>\njoin us.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Interact with product management, project management and development teams to develop a<br \/>\nstrong understanding of the project and testing objectives<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Involved in test cases preparation for projects within the scope of a broader defined testing strategy<br \/>\nand is typically involved in test strategy development for projects and systems<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Ensures creation of accurate test cases for completion software testing activities and works with<br \/>\ndifferent project members to gain necessary input and execute appropriate revisions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Design and develop test plans and test cases based on acceptance criteria and technical<br \/>\nspecifications that result in effective identification of software defects<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Performs internal peer reviews of test cases from other Analysts prior to and following execution as<br \/>\nrequired to ensure issues\/errors with the test scripts are identified and resolved<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Leverages automated testing tools for test planning and management, test case authoring, test case<br \/>\nexecution and issue\/defect tracking<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Use technical skills to work with developers while feature is being created to make sure<br \/>\napplication meets acceptance criteria and provide rapid feedback<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Create test plans and test designs to thoroughly test a functionality or feature<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Executing test designs (manually) to figure out defects in features and prioritize them<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Write test cases based on production workflows and create scripts for automation\u00a0process<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Maintain defect reports with the assistance of product support group<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Work both independently and as an integral member of a high performance team<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Providing input to Technical Publications and review documentation of new features<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Work with extended team of software developers, testers and designers<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Giving mandatory information of defects to developers in order to fix them<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause<br \/>\nidentification and resolution<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Reviews requirements specifications for testability and verifying\/ensuring traceability of testing to<br \/>\nrequirements and vice versa<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Readily learn new technologies and processes to complete test cases as needed<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; margin-bottom: 5px;\"><strong>Essentials Education Qualification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; B.E\/B.Tech, M.Tech\/MCA preferred<br \/>\n&#8211; Experience in understanding customer expectation to develop test cases\/scripts satisfying the<br \/>\nbusiness needs<br \/>\n&#8211; Experience in Test Strategy, Test planning, Test estimation and Risk assessment for projects<br \/>\n&#8211; Testing experience in Web-based applications preferably in Microsoft technologies<br \/>\n&#8211; Hands on experience in manual testing (Functional &amp; Regression tests) and usage of bug tracking<br \/>\ntool<br \/>\n&#8211; Knowledge on QA testing process (Agile and MS CRM testing)<br \/>\n&#8211; Exposure to understanding and developing test cases and create test plans<br \/>\n&#8211; Basic knowledge of SQL concepts and query writing<br \/>\n&#8211; Active participation in defect management, defect triage meetings, impact analysis, testing activities<br \/>\nincluding tests results, test case coverage and decision making process involving defect<br \/>\nmanagement<br \/>\n&#8211; Experience and Knowledge on Agile<br \/>\n&#8211; Assist in performing any applicable maintenance to tools used in Testing and resolve issues if any<br \/>\n&#8211; Ensure content and structure of all Testing documents \/ artifacts is documented and maintained<br \/>\n&#8211;
